Linda Bakker

Linda is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds a Masters of Counselling from City University. She offers family therapy, as well as individual therapy for clients aged 10 and up.
Linda is passionate about working with parents who are navigating the challenges of parenthood, whether they are adjusting to life as a new parent, managing co-parenting or blended family dynamics, or feeling overwhelmed by their child’s behaviours and emotional needs. Linda helps parents manage the uncertainty, stress, and changes that come with raising children, while developing practical strategies that support connection and healthy family relationships.
Linda started her career working in family and reunification services supporting parents and their children. Since then, Linda has supported a diverse range of families who are experiencing co-parenting, step-parenting, intimate partner violence, and mental health challenges.
Linda has extensive experience supporting children and youth experiencing anxiety, social challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She has experience working with neurodivergent children and youth, including those with ADHD and ASD. Linda’s approach is rooted in her background in family services, where she has practiced from a client-centred and trauma-informed perspective to foster growth and resilience. Linda integrates a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. She is committed to ongoing professional growth through continued training and regular supervision.
Outside of her counselling work, Linda enjoys spending time with her loved ones, staying active, reading, and baking. She has a love for animals and shares her home with her golden retriever.

Emily Poirier
Emily (she/her) holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and is registered with the B.C Association of Clinical Counsellors. Emily started her counselling experience working in Community Mental Health supporting youth, young adults, and their families. She has since worked with a variety of populations supporting her clients to process and build coping skills in areas such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, personality disorders, family and relational conflict, and attachment ruptures.
Emily strives to meet clients where they are at and utilizes a collaborative approach. Emily incorporates a variety of counselling approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Attachment based therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Somatic Based Therapies, and elements of Internal Family Systems (ITF). She is available to see clients who are 11 years old and up- including individuals, couples, and families.
Emily works to build an environment of safety and works from a trauma and attachment-informed lens. She believes that the alliance between a counsellor and client is one of the most important tools within the therapeutic process. She believes that through connection, support, and being seen we can grow and heal.
Outside of counselling you can find Emily spending time with her husband and her baby daughter, playing soccer and softball, or working out. She loves to be outdoors and active. She also has a love for animals and has adopted and fostered cats!
